Chicago the musical came down to KL not too long ago. But I didn’t go see it. Mostly because the price was terribly expensive and also I got influenced from a friend that if you had already seen the film “Chicago” then you won’t like the live stage performance as much. Granted that could be true but I think it still would’ve been worthwhile to watch.

I gave the film another run and I have to say, Catherine Zeta-Jones is an fabulous performer. Looks, style, elegance, voice and dance background. She’s literally “All That Jazz” baby! She has a real quality that makes you want to watch her, in all her films and who would’ve thought she could sing.

All the songs in Chicago were brilliant but my all time favourite performance from the entire show has got to be the Cell Block Tango. It’s soo cool! You had all the dancers dancing and singing in their cells, reminiscing …or more so retelling how they killed their ‘man’. Ok it sounds a bit sick but if you watch it it’s like.. mesmerizing!

Oh just watch.
