Yesterday my parents decided to take Giden’s bros down to Nong & Jimmy for dinner. Nong & Jimmy - often mistaken as Jimmy &Nong - is a Thai restaurant famous for its tom yam soup, curry crabs and oooo delicious fried rice.About three weeks back I was in Penang and had Curry Fish head to eat, but thhen i started craving for some good tom yam. Sad thing is when i want and get to go to N & J for their tom yam.. i am sick with the cough. And by right I can’t drink cold water..duh… but the N7J didn’t serve any warm water…..

***sweat***

And after a while you understand why! Firstly the place is hot, second your food is also pipping hot and on top of that the food is especially spicy hot. Tell me now, why would anyone with their right mind order a warm drink with that much of spiciness to last you till you are home? lol

Anyway the meal starts off first with some Kerang or Grilled cockerals. Those were really hot when I picked them up with me hands. ooouuuchh.

See this is the stuff that some people don’t like to eat in their Char Kway Teow… why?? They’re fun to eat!

Then the next dish that came was the Yu Char Kway or deep fried cullers… it’s some sort of fried up bread that you eat usually with porridge in most chinese dishes. This was served together with some green pandan kaya. That was pretty good but wow.. I think my cholesterol just shot up with the first two dishes.

Next up came the fried rice.. oh my gosh the fried rice is soooooooooooo goood!!! I swear it is really good. Even though you can’t go wrong with fried rice but this was soooo goood… drooollll It also came with ample amount of huge prawns.

Oh and you can’t miss out on their famous crab cakes…

***Big Mama style***

oooooooooo…. damn their fine.. Really fine! I love those things. Btw that chili over there. Not for the faint hearted - tongue people. Cause after i took a tiny tiny bite of that with the crab cakes… I realised why they said no warm drinks are served…

The one most important thing I needed on standby mode, the most…

was this…

…a cold drink! It did not help that the darn coconut was pretty hard to open, and they didn’t cut it up. So imagine the ret of us with a burning tongue and scorched up throat scrambling for something to drink!! Hahaha.

Actually it’s not farney!!! I nearly died from the fire in my belly… or esophagus.

The best part of the meal was when the crabs came.. Hehehe and you should have seen my sister and i fight over food.

I find that food tastes way better when you are fighting over it with somebody. And a lot more fun too when you eat it sloppily with yer hands. hahhaha. Just look at that glint.

And now look at the claws me and my sister were fighting to eat! It’s a monster!

Ooooooo Yeaaahh!!

Hehehe we were so happy with ourselves :P At least I was anyway.

This reminds me of this advert from Cheers Beer..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvxQQIT62Yk

The guy was upset when he gave his girlfriend the only crab, but got soooo cherry when he found another one hidden under the noodles.. Hehe

Hahahahaha… Loads of fun eating crabs and ya get to make a mess out of everything. Lets crack the shell of the crab, break it splat the meat, peal it out and smack smack smack…. oooo deliiiccciiooouuss We’re such savage barabarian.. muahahahaha.

Yeah yeah i look terrible.. but i’m enjoying the crab… lemme alone!

Ok ok nothing to savagey about those pics.. but point is the food was great!

See how happy and satiated we were after that…. arrrhhhhhh.

and Ping!!!

Heehheee.. Sorry honey.. but this pic was soooo farney!!
