The Asia Pacific Economic Co0-operation (APEC) is feeling the heat regarding global warming issues and I’m glad that they are going to be talking about the topic. Currently right now Australia, Japan and China just to name a few are the countries that are keen on taking this matter into consideration and willing to discuss how this can be curbed in the economic sense.

Great, though I’m a tad bit disappointed that Malaysia isn’t very keen on it, but then again, no surprise either. I’m more so irritated by what one of the representatives had to say. Just look at what he had to say, which I circled in red. By the way the Polar bear suit is really cute Greenpeace, hehe.

Is there really such a harm in discussing climate change issues in the meet? Hardly. To be honest, I think there is a mountain of potential for improvement if they took climate change, sustainability or environmental considerations. Sersiously!! That is where the greenhouse gases are coming from anyways… your industrial burning kilangs - that- make -stuff -that us consumers like. Likewise we are also to be blamed.
Put it this way, not to be some preachy, naggy greenhead, but have this thought. The facts are clear as daylight that there is something wrong with our forsaken world. And so how do people answer? By taking it for granted that it won’t happen to them, not until they lose that which is most precious to them. Point is that you can either sit back and let the world pass on, die, wither away and see those you love die from heat stroke or what have you.
Or..
Make the best of what we are left with, and try to improve it. So back to APEC, if you too would like to see that climate change can be one of the topics of discussion, go on here and sign up on the petition. I have… let our voices be heard and yell that there should be something done in business sector.
I thought you’d like to know about this urgent call for action on global warming. I’m one of hundreds of thousands who’ve signed a petition on climate change at Avaaz.org. This petition will reach leaders from some of the world’s largest polluters at the APEC summit–please join me in challenging them to address the climate crisis! Click here:
