The awareness to bring young people into closer terms with what is AIDS/HIV. How it is spread, how to avoid it, and how to live a normal life if you have it. Popjammerz- one of our fellow bloggers is helping to organise The Mission Possible AIDS/HIV Conference, a conference aimed at 18-25 year old people

Mission Impossible Conference

Date : 1-4 May 2008

Venue : Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang

Fee: RM78 (include food and accomodation)

The thing about HIV/AIDS, is the approach that the government or certain bodies have been using all this while. THey are trying to nip in the bud which is by preventing the young ones from having sex. The very sad truth is this. The young ones are experimenting and they are probably not virgins anymore.

They are active in their sexual life (some not all) and this proves a problem, because since they are young, they may not know what are the necessary precautions that should be made when they have sex. Worse still, is especially for the girls, they may fell obligated to do so as the male counterpart tells her to lay down with him. Some girls or women for that matter, don’t even know that they have a right to say NO to not wanting sex. Whats even sadder is the way how people who have AIDS/HIV are ostracized from the community, like as if they have become a leper.

For those who wish to know more, listen to people with real experiences on AIDS and make new friends… Oh yeah did I mention that there are also some pretty cool prizes to be won? Head to UPM and talk part, listen to the conference. Details and updates are all on H.O.P.E

You need to register for it before 20th APRIL 2008
