I’m a member of many online communities, but there is one community I think is worthwhile talking about. I’m sure most of you who have a blog are already aware that you can sometimes use it not just as your ‘yaking-journal-open-to-the-world’, but also as another medium to get some monetary value.

Honestly, I joined SocialSpark earlier on this year, but i didn’t really become very active in it. I decided to stop being so lazy and give it a real rundown on how it can be useful and beneficial to me. Here’s what I found. SocialSpark gives you the best of both worlds. For those of you who like connecting with new people, and finding more interesting blogs to read as your entertainment or for learning purposes. Then SocialSpark is for you…. sounds like a cheesy line haha.

This is me on SocialSpark.

Seriously though, it does give you the best of both worlds. You get to meet new people, interact with them, share some honest opinions and make money at the same time. How does that work?

After signing up for FREE, you have to register your blog which may take a while or so to get it acknowledged and approved by the SocialSpark admin. Once it is though via an ‘ITK’ code you have to place somewhere in your blog. You are then ready to start searching for possible posts that are on offer. Offer meaning you taking on sponsored posts that will pay you to write about it. Pretty much like PPP or sponsoredreviews.

features
This is what a featured post offer will look like and at the side you will see the different kind of post offers. From those that pay to those that are free but you will get something out of it.

Base on my experience using SocialSpark, I will grant that their searches are very fast and spot on. All their content is neatly organised, making it a breeze to filter through all that content.

Transparent as ever, as a member you will get to see what advertisers are looking for people and you will also get to see who took the opportunities from an advertiser. The Audit-able part helps in telling your viewers ‘hey this post is paid content’. By showing your audience, in a very visible and proactive manner, that you are being paid for that content, you will maintain the trust of your readers and avoid any appearance of impropriety. You can read more on their code of ethics here : SocialSpark Code of Ethics

Oh and did i mention you also have tools, to check your alexa rank, overall ‘RealRank’ (according to Izea). I just love how SocialSpark has integrated a number of tools, and services that are helpful to bloggers out there.

Furthermore, since it’s a community there is a chance that traffic will also go up for one’s blog. You are placing your blog in a new arena with new people. Who knows you may fine more readers in the community. :) .
